Hanami

 The cherrytree's flower or sakura is the national flower in japan and the symbol of Tokyo but the favorite flower in Japan. The Japanese Cherry trees bloom in spring not more than for four or five days !That's why an event like Hanami exists ; it's a party when Japanese people eat under the cherrytree to look at the "sakura".
It is a very important event in the year and every year during the hanami the Ueno's park ( the most important park in Tokyo) is packed !!!

Roman Polanski Arrested !

Roman Polanski is a producer and a filmmaker. He made films like The Pianist in 2002 and he received an Oscar for this film. He is 76 years old

He was arrested  32 years ago because maybe he had  awful sexual intercourse with a minor of 13 years old

but he wasn't condemned for this

And in september 2009,in the festival in Zurich, swiss policemen arrested the French and Polish  filmmaker.

A lot of  actors and business people protested and said  that Roman Polanski is innocent

But recently because of poor health conditions he was accepted into a hospital.

Quickly ,he will go to the United States to be condemned but Roman Polanski doesn't want to be condemned in the USA because the verdict will be very severe for Him

In my opinion , R.Polanski is a great filmmaker and his arrest is unjustified and this  happened a long time.

The main sport is athletics and one of the best sportsmen is Usain Bolt

but there is also Asafa Powell.

Music is very important in Jamaica

Bob Marley was the most famous musician in the 70s

And now there are musicians like Elephant Man ,Shaggy or Sean Paul.

Its motto is "ONE OF MANY, ONE PEOPLE"

Tokyo is the capital of japan. Tokyo is on the seaside of the Pacific Ocean,  tokyo is not the largest city in the world, but the most populated with 12 907 189 inhabitants.
Tokyo has 23 boroughs called : Edogawa, Adachi, Katsushika, Kita, Itabashi, Nerima, Suginami, Setagaya, Ota, Shinagawa, Meguro, Minato, Shibuya, Nakano, Shinjuku, Chiyoda, Chuo, Koto, Sumida, Taito, Bunkyo, Toshima and Arakawa. The most famous are Shibuya and Shinjuku. Tokyo is  not really a city it's a Group of cities and the "Boroughs" are little independants cities, Tokyo is a prefecture.

It's one of the most important cities of fashion, technology and modernism but it's a traditional city too and it's this contradiction which makes Tokyo one of the famous cities in the world.

Mexico is the capital of Mexico. It is the largest city of Mexico and is located in the center of the country. The city has developed very rapidly in the twentieth century to become one of the largest cities in the world with its 20 million inhabitants.

Mexico City is dominated by magnificent volcanoes, the Mexican capital is a beautiful city full of treasures. Tourists who spend two or three days visit the most historic center of Mexico City.

They also discover the National Palace and its beautiful murals painted by the great muralists Diego Rivera Constitution Square (the main square or Zocalo) and the Metropolitan Cathedral and the main avenues, as well as Chapultepec Park, one of the most important residential areas of Mexico and the Pink Zone (Zona Rosa).          Fadma

New York City, the city of my dreams...

New York City, named NYC or the Big Apple, is a city of the Northeast of the USA, in the District of New York, on the Atlantic Coast.

There are 8 214 426 inhabitants, it's the most populated city of the USA. All these inhabitants live on a surface of 1214 km².

If you would like to visit NYC, you have to visit the Statue of Liberty to see the view on New York and you can walk in Central Park. Then, you can eat an enormous hamburger in a fast-food. After, it is possible to do shopping on the 5th Avenue and to go to a baseball match. But, you also can visit the Empire State Building, see The Hudson River or walk in Manhattan, the Bronx, the Queen, and all the others boroughs of the city. It is possible to see the Columbia University and the NY University too.

What does Espelette mean?

Espelette (Basque: Ezpeleta)

It is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques

department in south-western France.

It lies in the traditional Basque province of Labourd.

Espelette is known for its dried red peppers, used whole or ground to a hot powder, used in the production of Bayonne ham and all of the traditional recipes of The Pays Basque. The peppers are hung to dry outside many of the houses and shops in the village during the summer.

The name Espeleta (in Basque) means "buissière" or "place being full of boxwood".

The pepper of Espelette made the reputation of the village. At the Scoville scale, it has a value of 4. Therefore, it's not stronger than pepper.

The pepper of Espelette raises the piperade, Axoa, the chicken basquaise, patties, numerous dishes. It puts chillies in the toasts of foie gras and contributes to the elaboration of fund of sauce.

London is the capital of England

There are 7.600.000 people in London and it is more populated than Paris or Berlin

The main monuments in London is Big Ben,the Buckingham Palace,Tower Bridge and the British Museum

In London,there is a business district and it is called The City

It's the second district in the world

The first business district is Wall Street in New York

And London is the sixth richest city in the world

The mayor of London is Boris Johnson,he was elected in may 2008

It always rains in London but there is a lot of tourists

Football is the first sport in London

but every year the most famous sport event 

may be Wimbledon.

I want live to London because it is a historic city and this city is welcoming

and I have loved this city for a long time
